Scheduled Maintenance

At Car Medics, we want to get to know you and your needs, not just your car.

Whether your vehicle has got to last you 20 years or only 3 months, whenever we make suggestions for maintenance, we always consider:

Your Budget

We totally get it that not everyone can fix everything all at once. We’ll give you options and make sure you know which repairs or maintenance should be done now and which ones can wait.

Your Driving Habits

Not all people use their vehicle the same. Some may drive 5 000 kilometers in a month while others wouldn’t drive that distance in one year. Some may drive all city while others all highway.

Your Vehicle’s Age

Many households are home to more than one vehicle. Each may have different drivers, different uses and even different levels of priority. For example, you may have one newer vehicle that you rely on when you go out of town and a second one that simply gets you a short distance back and forth to work. You may want to fully maintain and fix everything on one car while spending less and less on the other as it ages.

Your Manufacturer’s Recommended Maintenance Intervals

We maintain a full set of repair manuals that include the most current maintenance procedures and schedules developed by your manufacturer. Most car makers tend to recommend the same maintenance intervals for all drivers. We firmly believe that these recommended services are essential, but that how often and when they should be performed must be tailored to vehicle use and long term goals (i.e., how long you will keep your vehicle).

Our Recommendations

Car Medics has been in business for many years and often knows when certain vehicles are more susceptible to breakdowns. With this in mind, we may suggest certain services and/or repairs to save you time and money in the long run. Car Medics not only knows when it’s worth fixing, we also know when it’s time to say “goodbye” and we’re not afraid to say so. Even though we earn a living fixing everything that’s broken, we realize that sometimes the best way to serve you is to recommend getting rid of a vehicle that has seen better days.

Your Schedule

Car Medics will remind you when you’re vehicle is due for its next scheduled maintenance visit. If you’re not quite ready to have your maintenance performed, simply let us know and we will remind you again at a later date. We know your time is important and we will always adjust your appointment to fit your schedule. If you suddenly realize that your next scheduled service date is not as convenient as it could be, simply phone or email us and we will be happy to rebook it for a better time or day.

Thorough Inspections

The basis of our maintenance program is our Car Medics Digital Vehicle Inspections. Every time your vehicle comes in for a visit, our team of expert technicians will provide a minimum inspection of lights, tires and fluids. Regular maintenance visits will include our more thorough Level 1 or Level 2 inspections that often include a test drive and even removing your wheels to get the big picture. And, since our techs use iPads and tablets to document your inspection results, you can expect a digital inspection report texted or emailed to you every time your car is in for service. A picture is worth a thousand words and that’s our reports even include photographs so that you can better understand what our findings are. Our team will review the inspection with you and fully explain, in detail, what needs to be done today, next month and even down the road.
